What can people get out of Herrera while he's displaying his mayoral bona fides? Inquiring minds want to know.
If Herrera can pull this off, he can set himself up as a "can-do" guy, able to take on the big boys and get something resolved. Given that SF's politics often end in gridlock, that's a good reputation to have. Is it deserved? Who knows? I'd love to know who at the Asian wasn't watching the store as JP Morgan made off like a bandit. It's always best to follow the money but we aren't in a position to do so. (ALAS).
