The Joys and Pitfalls of Writing Women's History: Back when I was in college, I dreamed of being able to do this. I graduated when Regan had decimated schools and college funding. History had fallen to the bottom of the list of necessary classes so I wasn't able to continue toward that necessary PhD. I am so glad that other women have picked up the torch and continue to write (and teach) about the 53% of the population that's still ignored.
