Celebrate the Spring Equinox

Happy #SpringEquinox when day and night are equal, and spring is officially about to start. Celebrate the #firstdayofspring with this lovely Roman fresco of Flōra, the goddess of the flowering of plants and of the season of spring. From the Villa of Ariadne, Stabiae in Italy.

Today is the SpringEquinox
meaning winter is officially behind us! Detail from Plum Blossom and Praying Mantis. Fen Chen c. 1881, ink and colour on paper, China

The #SpringEquinox, when day and night are of equal length. #Spring begins, is on Tuesday 20th #March at 12:15 pm EDT, 16:15 GMT, 17:15 EUR. #VernalEquinox #SpringEquinox2018 #SpringForward #Stonehenge

Wishing a blessed Ostara and #SpringEquinox the return of spring! A time for renewal and rebirth. As the wheel of the year continues to turn we are reminded to wake up, let go of what ever holds us back and move forward with passion and purpose into the light.
